Director
Angela Bustos
My name is Angela Bustos, and I have been working in childhood education and youth development since 2014. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Childhood Development. I began my career as an art and sports instructor at a nonprofit afterschool program in Brooklyn, NY, and later advanced into an administrative role, serving as an Assistant Director within the same organization.
After relocating from New York City to Orange County, NY in 2023, I had the opportunity to serve as a Regional Director, overseeing multiple before- and aftercare programs, as well as early learning centers throughout the Hudson Valley. I am currently the Center Director at Discovery Years in Vernon, NJ. Since joining the organization, it has truly felt like a second family to me—the sense of community, along with the children and staff I work with, has made my experience especially meaningful.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two young boys, Raiden and Renzo. I’m also a proud pet mom to my dogs, Vixen and Onyx, and a fish named Titan.
Kaitlyn Sullivan
Assistant Director
My name is Kaitlyn Sullivan, I bring over 7 years of child care experience to the Discovery Years team. I joined Discovery Years in 2022 as an Assistant Teacher and was promoted to Lead Teacher (Infant Room) in 2023 . In my current role as Assistant Director, I oversees the administrative and day-to-day functions of all of the classrooms at DY.
In my free time, I enjoys seeing live music, trying new recipes, and spending time with her friends & family.
